Established in 1999 and registered under an associations incorporations Act 1984, NAWS is a non-profit and non-political organisation.
NAWS was established to promote close cooperation among Nepalese in Sydney and to promote and preserve our own cultural ways and values of Nepalese life. In the recent years, the numbers of Nepalese residing in Australia has grown significantly. NAWS has been actively working to help Nepalese community in various ways since its establishment and will continue to do so in future. In Sydney, NAWS has been organising various programs, functions and events such as Dashain festival programs, cultural & musical programs and sports activities every year. Our long-term aims are also to give something back to Nepal by helping NGOs and other organizations that are actively working for a good cause within Nepal.
